Former Kadima chairwoman Tzipi Livni held this afternoon (Tues.) a press conference at Beit Sokolov in Tel - Aviv, where she announced that she intends to run at the head of a new movement called 'Movement headed by Tzipi Livni'.
"I came to fight. There is no personal or ideological alternative to the Prime Minister, and no one to represent our opinions on issues which are critical to Israel. Netanyahu lost yesterday in the Likud and he could lose the election. Yesterday it was the victory of Feiglin and loss of Netanyahu, and in the elections that would be the loss of Netanyahu and the victory of us all ", she opened.
Livni has not yet introduced to the composition of her list, and focused on the agenda: "I came to fight for Israel, I did not come to fight against, but in favor. I came to fight for peace, to fight for security, to fight for a Jewish Israel, I came to fight for a democratic Israel, a country where all citizens regardless of nationality and religion are citizens with equal rights. "

Livni undertook to support a candidate for the left-central bloc and recommend him to the President to form a government, and called on Lapid and Yachimovich to commit themselves the same way.
The logo of the new party reminds one of the Kadima Party's logo.
Meanwhile, a group of Knesset members of the Kadima faction are holding negotiations with the former party chairman, retired after losing the Kadima primaries to Shaul Mofaz, to join her party. According to one MK who is part of the negotiation, the split from Kadima is expected to take place this evening or Wednesday morning. Their split from Kadima will transfer to the party the finance units they are entitled to.
Among those who are partners to the negotiating are more than seven members of the Knesset - the required minimum number for a split from a party. According to estimates, Livni will connect with MKs Yoel Hasson, Robert Tibaib, Magli Vahaba, Orit Zuaretz, Rachel Adato, Yohanan Plesner, Doron Avital and Meir Shitrit.
Livni is also currently completing talks with public figures to join her list. Among others she conducted talks with retired generals Shlomo Yanai, Yitzchak Ben-Israel and Amram Mitzna, former chairman of the Labour party. It is not clear if the talks matured into a common run.
Since the announcement of the election date, assessments and various speculations came up about Livni's political intentions. According to a survey of the Ma'agar Mochot Institute last night, a party led by Livni will receive nine seats, compared to 20 seats for Labor and only five to Yair Lapid's party.
Kadima, according to most polls, does not pass the threshold.
It is predicted that former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert will inform on Wednesday or Thursday regarding his political future.
