Following the discovery of the cell phone of the terrorist who performed the attack in Tel Aviv, Nasat Malhem, today the Internal Security Minister Gilad Erdan revealed in an interview with the Knesset News line: "He is more sophisticated than people think. He was not naive or eccentric. He deliberately did not come with a cell phone that day to make it more difficult to locate him."

Minister Erdan also referred to the phenomenon of illegal weapons in the Arab sector and said: "We had to collect weapons there already. One should take this as a national project. This is my test during this term, and therefore I asked for the budget even before entering government."

Meanwhile, Israeli police conducted this afternoon (Monday) a search in the home of a resident of Umm al-Fahm aged 41. During the search, large quantities of weapons that included two 9 mm pistols, Kalashnikov rifles, dozens of cartridges, hundreds of bullets of various types, a firecracker and 155 grams of the drug cocaine, were seized.

Tomorrow police will seek to extend the detention of the father and son, 17, suspected of holding them, at the Hadera Magistrate's Court.
