Tragedy in Stamford Hill: Elhanan Kahn, 8, frightened by fireworks, ran to the road and was run over • this evening he passed away

Tragedy in Stamford Hill, London this evening (Sunday), the child Elhanan Kahn, 8 years old, passed away after being injured in a car accident last week.
Last week, London celebrated with fireworks, the boy went with his friend on the street, and was startled. The boy ran away and was run over under the wheels of a passing car. Rescue teams arrived at the scene gave him first aid and evacuated him to hospital in serious condition.
Hatzalah volunteers relate: "The accident was very harsh. We have never seen such a harsh scene."
The boy was the son of Rabbi Yaakov Yosef Kahn, the son of Rabbi Reuven Kahn – a well known figure in London, the son-in-law of Rabbi Eliezer Reich, who is a prominent Tzanzer chossid.
Elhanan Kahn z"l learned at the Satmar Talmud Torah in London, and was one of the best children.
May his soul be bound in the bond of life.
