The murderers of the couple Eitam and Naama Henkin H.Y.D. were captured near Itamar: it was cleared for publication that the security forces arrested during Simchas Torah the Hamas cell that carried out the deadly shooting last Thursday.

These are five Hamas activists in Nablus, who according to the GSS admitted carrying out the deadly suicide attack during which Eitam and Naama Henkin were killed while driving their car with their four children. They were arrested by the Shin Bet, the IDF and police.

The arrest of members of the squad, about a day after the attack, was made possible by joint intelligence and operational activities of the Shin Bet, Israel's military and police. The detainees were interrogated by the Shin Bet and admitted involvement in the attack which killed the Henkin couple z"l.

Shin Bet investigations so far indicate that the cell which belongs to Hamas activists in Nablus consisted of five each with a defined role - one activist opened a route, three activists drove in the car- a driver and two attackers as well as a squad commander who was not in the vehicle. A number of other suspect collaborators of the squad were also arrested.

Commander of the squad is Ragheb Ahmad Muhammad Alivi, born in 1978, former jailed Hamas in Nablus, he recruited the cell, instructed them to implement attacks and provided them with weapons.

The cell members are: Yihya Mohammed Nayef Abdullah Haj Hamad, born 1991, a resident of Nablus, a Hamas activist - carried out the shooting in this attack and other attacks; Samir Zahir Ibrahim Kusa born in 1982, resident of Nablus, a Hamas activist, took part in three attacks, served as a driver, Karem Lutfi Fathi Rezek, born in '92, a resident of Nablus, Hamas activist - went out the attack armed with a gun, used it for shooting during the attack and was injured accidentally by his friend during the attack; Zid Ziad Jamil Amer, born in '89, a resident of Nablus, a Hamas activist – opened an attack axis for the squad.

According to the investigation, two members of the squad travelled along their route in which the attack was executed and chose the point at which the shooting will be conducted, then collected the rest of the squad members, when one of them went out to open the route.

Upon receiving confirmation that the axis is 'clean', the squad left for the ride, identified the vehicle of the Henkin family and carried out the shooting at them. After stopping the vehicle, two members of the squad went out of their vehicle and fired again at very close range, at the occupants of the car.

While shooting, one of the terrorists was shot accidentally by his friend in his hand, and a gun in his possession fell and remained on the ground, which is what probably saved the lives of the children. This gun was captured by our forces. After the attack they fled to the city of Nablus.

In addition, members of the squad said that they were involved in recent weeks in two shooting attacks which caused no casualties - the attack on an Israeli vehicle near the entrance to Kedumim (near Jit junction in Samaria) on 30.8.15 a vehicle of Ronen Edri, a resident of Shavei Shomron, was hit by a number of bullets. Fortunately there were no casualties in this incident.

Defense Minister Moshe (Bogie) Ya'alon said, "The cell which was captured and neutralized not only carried out attacks, but also planned to continue to kill more Israelis. Neutralizing it is an important achievement for the security forces."
