Azriel Yosef Yoel Teitelbaum, Mir Yeshiva student and a Satmar chassid, resident of the United States in his 20s, was missing since Wednesday in Hungary - After taking a taxi in the city of Debrecen, which is just a two hour drive from Budapest, and then he disappeared.
On Friday afternoon, after an extensive search campaign, he was located.
According to reports, yesterday his credit card code was replaced, and consequently FBI intervened into the investigation.
At the moment, the report contradicts the finding as to how, when according to one version he was beaten and taken to hospital, and according to another version he was already in the hospital.
The student came to Hungary as part of a group of the Satmar Rebbe on the occasion of the Yarzeit.
Chabad House in Budapest, headed by Rabbi Shmuel Raskin ran the search for him. ZAKA also came to help, and said that the man came out Tuesday morning from the hotel in the city of Debrecen, Hungary, where he stayed with the entourage of the Satmar Rebbe, and wanting to go ahead of the entourage towards Ihle, got into a taxi and then disappeared.
The taxi driver was detected, and since he claims he did not understand the language of the boy, the boy fell out of the cab. Hungarian police launched an investigation, as mentioned, which came to an end this afternoon.
