"B'Tselem organization is pursuing Israeli soldiers with the aim to tie their hands," Minister of Justice Ayelet Shaked wrote shortly before on Facebook, , following the publication of the video yesterday (Sunday). "A great miracle occurred and the rock did not kill him or his soldiers, this time. We cannot leave our lives only to miracles. "
Recall, on Friday two weeks ago, during a military operation in the village of A-Ram, near Ramallah, a youth began throwing stones and rocks at the car of Binyamin Brigade Commander Colonel Yisrael Shummer. The brigade commander was on his way to the Qalandiya crossing; feeling threatened by the car window which was shattered, he got out and unloaded the weapon. As a result, one of the boys named Mohammed Ali Kosiba 17 years old was seriously injured. He was taken to hospital in Ramallah - where he died of his wounds.
"Attempted murder is attempted murder. No other beautiful words can describe the incident, Col. Yisrael Shummer came across last week. In Judaism there is a moral rule that says that a person is allowed to defend himself and save his life at the cost of his own life if it is endangered. This is in fact "self-defense", "preemptive strike". This is commonly called "Next to kill you, kill him first." The IDF said that the brigade commander felt in danger, implemented standard procedures, during which the boy was shot.
"When a rock is thrown at the windshield of a vehicle, no one will argue that the attempt here was in favor of sculpture and art glass. This is an attempt to murder in every respect!
