Shock in Jerusalem: municipality will carry out an event in front of the Old City

The next storm on the sanctity of Jerusalem: "Spinning and Zumba Marathon" at the Mamilla promenade in front of the Old City.

Jerusalem Municipality spokesman issued at noon (Sunday) a notice that the Jerusalem municipality will maintain a spinning and zumba event at the Mamilla promenade – opposite the Old City on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 14-16 / 7/15.

According to the statement, "The Spinning and Zumba Marathon Eldan Jerusalem is part of the International Sports Week and is a part of many and diverse activities of the Jerusalem Municipality and Sports Department to promote popular sport in Jerusalem and encouraging sporting activity and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

The notice added that "the gymnasts will enjoy Zumba activity in front of the stunning scenery of the Citadel, the walls, the Cinematheque and Mishkenot. Zumba marathon will include several heats, starting from 20:30 until 23:00 and closed-circuit event will be screened on the walls and on giant screens."

A Yahadut Hatorah source at the municipality in the city expressed his shock in a conversation with Behadrey Haredim: "This is part of the desecration process of the city and damage the sanctity, the Jerusalem municipality in recent years is under the direction of a Mayor who joins people to the Sportek and a long list of harm to the Haredi community and the spirit of the holy city."

The Jerusalem Municipality said: "There is no change to this event which is held every year."
