Masmid who drowned to death: the late Roey Elior Uzan z"l

Drowning tragedy in Nachsholim: the man who drowned to death on the beach at Kibbutz Nachsholim is a student at the Maoz Chaim yeshiva in Kiryat Ata – Roey Elior Uzan, 25.

Medics and paramedics of MDA with Union Rescue volunteers called to the scene gave him medical treatment and performed CPR on him, but at the end were forced to confirm his death and he was evacuated to Rambam Hospital.

The deceased went out with some of his friends to the beach. His friends told the rescue forces that they went out with the approval of the head of the yeshiva, which was updated on the drowning. In the past hours an autopsy was avoided by Zaka North.

Roey Elior Uzan z"l was born in Acco to his father Uri Uzan, a civilian employee.

In the last years he began to study at the Maoz Chaim yeshiva in Kiryat Ata, where he strengthened in Torah and Yiras Shamayim, in the shadow of the Roshei Yeshiva Rabbi Erez Birnbaum and the Mashgiach Rabbi Avraham Sofer.

The Maoz Chaim yeshiva is considered an excellent yeshiva for high school graduates who strengthened and want to become full Bnei Torah, whom after their wedding are accepted to the best Kollelim throughout the country.

The funeral will leave his home in Acco at 22:00 to the local cemetery – where he will be laid to rest.
