Belgian police officer will be prosecuted and will be dismissed today (Monday) after he wrote on Facebook that he was ready to kill Jews, one by one,
"The word itself means a dirty Jew. I do not owe you any respect and if I was there in Israel, frankly, I would have done with the Jews what they do with the Palestinians, killing them one by one," said the officer in a post on his Facebook page.
This is a police officer named Mohammed who lives in the town of Molnbik near the city of Brussels in Belgium, and who wrote this under a pseudonym, but his identity was soon discovered by the Jewish community.
Yoel Rubinfeld, president of the League of the Belgian anti-Semitism, said that "they have really accelerated lately about anti-Semitism. The worst thing is that this man, who is supposed to represent and embody the values of peace, is inciting violence and hatred. There are laws designed to convict people of this behavior."
Francoise Shafmans, the mayor, said: "I can assure you that we will begin the procedure of dismissal next week. This policeman will be forced ti come and explain himself to the college. He will have a chance to defend himself, but know that I have no tolerance for this style of speech, it is unacceptable and unthinkable.
