Shas coalition agreement signed on full Watch the agreement

After last week an outline coalition agreement between the Likud and Shas, following the will of the parties to declare reaching an agreement – this afternoon (Sunday) the negotiating teams of the parties signed on the final agreement.

As recalled, last Monday the Likud and Shas signed a coalition agreement in outline form in the presence of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Shas chairman Aryeh Deri, where they announced the joining of Shas to the future coalition.

The next day after the signing, the council of Torah Sages convened in the home of the president of the Shas Council, Chacham Shalom Cohen, in the Jewish Quarter of Jerusalem, attended by MKs as well as the Shas negotiating team. During the meeting, Shas chairman Aryeh Deri detailed the coalition agreement to the rabbis, who later confirmed it.

According to the coalition agreement, Shas will receive the Ministry of Economy, the Negev and the Galilee and the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Deputy Minister (coordinated with the Prime Minister, in which office), Deputy Minister or Minister in the Ministry of Finance who will be responsible for the planning director, chairman of the Education Committee and vice Speaker of the Knesset.

The Knesset plenum will vote tomorrow in favor of expanding the government to 20 ministers, and on Wednesday the formation of the new government in the plenum is expected.
