Yeshiva student drowned in the Kinneret; In serious condition

A 17 year old yeshiva student, who studies in the north of the country, drowned this morning (Wednesday) in the Kinneret, and is in serious condition. Rosh Yeshiva of the young man came to visit him in the hospital.
The young man jumped into the water with his friend, was bruised by a rock and drowned. His friend pulled him from the water and called for help.
Citizens, led by MDA attempted CPR, until the arrival of the rescue teams who carried out CPR and took him to the Poriah hospital in Tiberias, when his condition was defined as serious.
Adi Srour a Hatzalah volunteer said: "When I arrived the boy was out of the water unconscious and without a pulse and not breathing after drowning, I began resuscitation and later other paramedics joined along with a team of Mobile Intensive Care Units, after prolonged and successful resuscitation he was transferred to continue to receive medical treatment at the Poriah hospital where his condition is defined as serious but stable, this is a yeshiva student who went swimming with another friend who called for help when he saw his friend drowning.
Senior MDA paramedic Ariel Krieger said: "When we got to the beach we saw civilians performing CPR on a teenager after they receive paramedic training by the MDA center, they told us he had drowned and they pulled him from the water with no pulse and was not breathing, immediately we continued advanced resuscitation involving drugs, massages and electric shocks, and when his pulse returned he was transferred by Intensive Care Units to Poriah hospital in serious condition".
