כוחות כיבוי והצלה גדולים מפלטבוש - ניו יורק כולל מתנדבים רבים מארגון הצלה פעלו הלילה בזירת שריפת בית של משפחה חרדית, השריפה החלה בסביבות השעה 22:40, וכוחות הצלה טיפלו בלפחות שני חולים בפציעות שאינן מסכנות חיים, בבית לא היו באותו הזמן בני המשפחה
בשל השריפה הגדולה, כל אנשי כוחות הכיבוי קיבלו הוראה לצאת מהמבנה, ולמעשה לתת לדירה להישרף, כוחות הכיבוי ווידאו שהאש לא מתפשטת, כשעה לאחר תחילת השריפה, להבות כבדות עדיין אפפו את כל המבנה וכוחות כיבוי פעלו לוודא שהאש כבתה סופית.
