דובר צה"ל מפרסם תיעודים מעיכוב חיסולו של חאלד מנצור בגלל הימצאות ילדים בסביבת הבית בו שהה. בנוסף מפרסם דו"צ תיעוד משיגור כושל של רקטה שנפלה בתוך הרצועה הצפופה
מבצע "עלות השחר": במהלך סיכולו של מפקד דרום עזה של ה'גיאהד האסלאמי, ח'אלד מנצור אמש מוצאי שבת, זוהו ילדים במרחב התקיפה ועל כן נדחתה התקיפה כמה וכמה פעמים. מאוחר יותר, כאשר הילדים לא נכחו באיזור, בוצעה התקיפה בהצלחה והבכיר הפלסטיני סוכל.
דובר צה"ל מפרסם הערב את סרטי וקולות הקשר מהתקיפה המוצלחת ומניעת פגיעה בילדים בלתי מעורבים. "ראיתי בעצים ילדים מתרוצצים - תבטל את התקיפה".
