דרמה בלתי נתפסת התחוללה הלילה (ראשון) מחוץ לביתו של מרן שר התורה הגר"ח קנייבסקי זצ"ל ברחוב רשב"ם 23.
המחסומים שהוצבו מאז יום שישי מחוץ לבית נפרצו על ידי האלפים שהתגודדו במקום והללו הצליחו להגיע עד למדרגות הבית. מסוק משטרתי הוזנק לאוויר, בשל העובדה שבמקום היה נצור יו"ר האופוזיציה, ראש הממשלה לשעבר בנימין נתניהו שהגיע להיפרד בפעם האחרונה ממרן זצ"ל.
נתניהו היה נצור בבית אחד השכנים במשך למעלה משעתיים בעקבות פריצת המחסומים, ולא היה באפשרותו לצאת מהמקום בצורה בטוחה בעקבות הדוחק. כעבור למעלה משעתיים הוא חולץ בבטחה.
